The Cutest Ring Bearer & Flower Girl

We were so honored that Sara and Aaron asked Cole and Cate to be a part of their special day!  When they asked them, Cate was only 6 months old and it was hard to imagine her walking herself down the aisle. But she did it!
Cole was adorable in his grey suit!
Cate had a pretty white dress and a spicy attitude. :)
We got some cute family pics and tried to get the kids to cooperate with the wedding photographer.
The kids even got bubble guns for the bride and groom exit!
At the reception we got some more good pics of the entire family.
Cole got to ride around on the golf cart and putted on the putting green. It kept him entertained for awhile!
We sat at the buckeye sundae table!  It's Tony's favorite at Mr. Freeze!
Cole walked in with the wedding party like a cool dude in his light up sunglasses.
We ate dinner, had dessert, and did a little dancing before we called it a night.
We had such a fun time with all of my family and the kids were pretty good considering all the events and attention they got. Cole kept saying he was worn out from being a ring bearer!  It's a hard job, but somebody has to do it!  We are already looking forward to heading back to Toledo in July!

Toledo Trip

We had a crazy week last week when we found out our Wednesday flight to Toledo was cancelled. We scrambled to pack and get everything ready in three hours to leave Tuesday night instead.
It was a late night with a stop in St. Louis that was a little delayed. We didn't get to our hotel in Toledo until almost 1 am. Crazy to do with the little ones, but we made it work and they were pretty good.

We had Wednesday to hang out with my aunts, uncles, and cousins before the rest of my family got there.
We went to Mr. Freeze for ice cream after dinner!
On Thursday, we visited the Toledo Zoo in the morning. They have a nice, new aquarium that we wanted to check out.
Cole loved petting the stingrays!
Cate loved the penguins!  You could get really close to them in their exhibit. She just went crazy and got so excited!
Cole with the bride to be!
We saw all the big animals. They even have three polar bears (Tony's fav) and it was their feeding time. They were diving in the water and moving all around their habitat. It was cool to watch them!  Then we went to ride the carousel. Always a kid favorite too!
Later on Thursday, my family got there and we were able to hang out with them for a little bit before going to my Aunt's house for dinner. The kids were being pretty silly!
On Friday, Tony played golf with the wedding party guys. So the kids and I hung out with Janet and David and went to play at a park. We also had lunch with everyone after golf and went to Mr. Freeze again. Cole would not stop talking about getting a Spider-Man Popsicle!
He lost his love for it when it started to melt all down his hand though!
Friday night was the wedding rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. We went to both since the kids were in the wedding. We got some great family pictures that night!
The kids
The cousins
Then cousins and spouses and kids (for us)
Cole and Cate got sweet gifts from Sara and Aaron for being a part of their wedding.  Quilts, sunglasses, books, and ninja turtles!
We left excited for the wedding the next day!

On Friday last week, the kids and I went to our favorite Thunderbird Farm to pick some blueberries. This is our fourth year to go!  It's been cool to see it grow and become more popular and a bigger operation over the last few years. It means we can keep going back!
The weather turned out to be great. Just cloudy enough for it not to be too hot and it didn't rain. Cole and Cate were super cute picking berries together!

This was the first year that Cole really helped with the picking. He filled up his bucket nicely and never ran off or got tired of it.  He did a great job finding good bushes and only picked the ripe berries.
Cate did a great job eating the berries!  She was taking handfuls out of the buckets or pulling one at a time off the bushes.
Of course she loved carrying around her own bucket too!  She didn't have anything left to contribute to our final purchase though...every berry was eaten!

We had the best time this year!  We enjoyed the fresh air. No one ran away or had to be chased down. We didn't have any diaper mishaps. And we ended up with a lot of blueberries to take home.
