Mom Time

I had almost four days with the kiddos by myself while Tony traveled for work. My days seem all off this week because he was gone over the weekend too. I tried to have a few things planned to make the time pass more quickly and to have some fun outside of the house.

On Sunday we grocery shopped, and I still went to our church group while Tony's mom came over to watch the kids. I came home with a birthday present for Cole from Chad and Emily. He was super excited to play for awhile!

Monday, Cole had school while Cate and I ran an errand, went for a run, and played at home. We had a birthday gift to exchange after school...more entertainment for Cole!
And we went to the new Chick fil a for dinner.
We made it out with a minor meltdown from Cate (of all people!) because she wanted to keep playing in the playroom.

On Tuesday we enjoyed some nice weather outside and played at the park and took the double jogging stroller out for the first time.  It was so hard running with both of them!  Not something I'm excited to do again, but at least I have the option to go when Tony isn't home.
We survived and actually had a good time while Daddy was gone. Not that he needs to go again any time soon, but it wasn't so bad. :)

Cole's Birthday

Yesterday was the Cole Man's fourth birthday, and he celebrated big time!

Uma picked him up at 8 am to take him to breakfast and a little birthday shopping. They went to Panara, Target, and Barnes and Noble. He got a few toys and a sticker book.

Then we picked him up for some more spoiling. :)  He got to pick out a toy at the Disney store where he got Cars, of course. He also picked out a new bear from Build a Bear.

We went home for lunch and naps and hung out for a little bit before we headed to Charlestons for dinner. That was his pick because "their mac and cheese is awesome!"

Cole opened one more present from us.  (He really got the hook up this birthday!). Four is big!!!

We had birthday ice cream sundae's for dessert and sang "happy birthday".

We had a fun, busy day doing everything Cole loves to do!  Tony even stayed him from work so we could spend the whole day together. Cole also was able to FaceTime with lots of family and felt special in his big day!

Cole's 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Cole turning 4 on Saturday, only a few days early, with a Batman/Soccer party at SoccerCity.
He has been going to Little Kickers at SoccerCity since September, and really enjoys it. He asked if he could have his party there this year many months before his birthday was upon us! I think his birthday was all planned before Cate even had her birthday. :) This was also our first party to have away from our house.

The party started with an hour on the field where we played a lot of different games with the kids and some of the grown ups. We played "foxes and farmers" tag with the jerseys for "tails" and "spaceships and aliens" with the hula hoops as "spaceships".

All the kids did great listening to the coaches, but were ready to play!

The kids also took rides on the parachute. The parents got a work out, that's for sure!

There was also plenty of time to run around, kick balls, and score goals!

Even Cate got in on the action! She had a ton of fun playing with the balls, riding the parachute, and hanging out with some other little friends!

Once everyone was worn out on games and running around, we headed to the party room for a snack and some cake. Cole had been checking out birthday cakes at the grocery store for months and knew exactly what he wanted.

The Batman Motorcycle cake!

We had a few Bat-Girls and Batmen at the party!

We were excited to have Nina and Pop Pop in town and Uma and Tony's brother, sister, and brother in law at the party too!

We sang "Happy Birthday" to the Cole Man and watched him blow out his candles!

He was also very excited to open his birthday presents!

We loved celebrating our little man! He really enjoyed his party and had a lot of fun with all of his friends and family.

If the day couldn't get any better, he got a new Little Kickers jersey from SoccerCity for his birthday. It even has the number 4 on it!

And you have to include a ninja pose!

Tulsa Children's Museum x 2

I took Cole and Cate to the Children's Museum last Friday. Just to get out and do something fun.
Cate has changed a lot since we visited last time. There were so many more things she wanted to do.
Cole had a blast climbing and sliding over and over.
Plus being a little silly.
The museum was kind of crowded and warm once we started playing. So we took a break outside, played on the playground, and had a snack.

Then, we went again yesterday with Nina. They had a singing and dancing time that I wanted to check out, and my mom had never been before. Cate was especially in to the music!  She loved shaking the maracas and shaking her little booty.
Cole loved trying out the different instruments too.  The dinosaurs are pretty cool for him.  Especially since they roar at you!
Everyone took a bunch of turns on the slide again!
Two little cuties!
The weather was so pretty!  We had to play on the playground again.  Cate loved going across the bridge this time.
After our fun time playing, we grabbed some lunch at Chick-fil-a. Both kids ate their entire kids meals!  That was a first for Cate. The girl can eat!
