Busy Week!

We've had a busy week, just getting back from visiting The Woodlands for a week! First, there's always laundry and cleaning that need to be done! But we've also had a few fun things going on too!

Cate took her first ride in the swing at the park! She loved it!

On Tuesday, we went to Cole's Meet the Teacher night. He's going to be trying out preschool this year for one day a week. He's going to one at a local church that offers one, two, or three days a week. We really wanted to just do one day because I stayed home to be with him and Cate and I want to still take advantage of that. But, he's really ready to play with more kids and have some variety to his day. He's really excited about it! It helps that he got to pick out a lunch box and backpack. :)
On Wednesday, we took Cole to try out a soccer class! We were thinking he might have fun with that, but wanted to do a trial class just to be sure. It worked out that this was the last week of the summer session. He had such a good time! I was surprised how well he listened and participated. He even ran while kicking the ball and kicked the ball around cones into the goal. I think he was most excited about the uniform though! He's been asking to wear it every day since. He won't play any games, but will go to class once a week. I almost want to cry he looks so big in this picture!
We played outside in the heat one evening waiting for Daddy to get home. We did "chalks" and played with the Octonauts.
Then Tony took the day off of work on Friday to make good use of the long weekend! We went to the Oklahoma Aquarium as a family. Cole loved the sharks and the tunnel he could crawl into to look inside the fish tank. Cate loved watching the fish swim around. She was kicking her legs and making noises whenever we got to a tank that was big enough for her to see into from her stroller.

After the aquarium, we went out to lunch at Russo's pizza, a place we've never been to before, and both kids were great! It was amazing! Cole ate a good lunch and didn't complain. Cate didn't cry and chilled and played in her highchair while we ate. We also did a quick stop into Whole Foods. It was nice to have some family time after being gone last week.

Tony really wanted a peanut butter pie for dessert this weekend, so my little sidekick was helping me put that together yesterday afternoon.

We are also celebrating the start of college football! The Longhorns and Sooners both play tonight, and the kids are cheering for both teams! It was seriously impossible to get a good picture of both of them this morning! We are getting a Chick-fil-A nugget tray for dinner tonight and watching the games. Cole has been asking if the Sooners are playing for the past three days...so I'm glad it's finally here!
