Win #2 for Our Favorite Golfer

Exciting weekend for our family! Stacy won her 2nd tournament, the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic! We were happy to be able to watch pretty much her entire round on TV, and had ourselves stressed out in the process! She played great all week/weekend and we are so proud of her. I know she is relieved to have another win under her belt now. You can read about it here.

Obsessed with Shoes!

And not even shoes for me!! I'm so into finding shoes for Cole right now. These are the ones I think are ADORABLE and would love to see him running around in!
See what I mean?? I'm in love with little boys shoes. I want all of these for Cole and he would grow out of them in a few months. Maybe, I just have to pick a few. He already got a pair of TOMS from Nana. So I can check one pair off the list.

13 Months & April Update

Cole turned 13 months this past week! He has gotten very good at walking in the past month. He hardly crawls anywhere and is able to stand up on his own wherever he is, even away from furniture or us to help him. He LOVES playing outside and cruises around the backyard checking things out. We are so glad that we added on to our patio so we can sit out there and watch him and he has plenty of space. We've been going to our neighborhood park quite a bit too since the weather has been so nice. .
Another thing Cole is getting into is talking. He babbles all the time and acts like he's really serious about what he's saying. He's said Mama, Dada, and baby already, but now he says Bob, Uh-oh, Cheese, Pop-pop, B -for anything that starts with a B, Tonya - his babysitter, and really has started to try repeating words that we say to him. He also points at things that he wants or sees. We also hit a big milestonestone this weekend, and Cole hasn't used a bottle all weekend...only sippy cups for his milk! Here are some pictures from the past month: A little girl at Cole's daycare, had a birthday and brought hats for everyone to celebrate. Tony loves this pic because Cole's acting like he could care less. I promise he really was excited to put it on!
He got some flip flops to get ready for summer.
He has fun getting the mops out and pushing them around and trying to pick them up. He has to move the trash can and go back in the corner to even get these things out!
Cole loves this spot these days! He climbs up in his chair and can look out the window to see what's going on outside. Yesterday, he was waiting for Daddy to come back from running when I took these ones.
Tony and I have not been up to very much in the past few weeks besides working and taking care of the little man. Tony's parents were in town for a few days, so Tony and I were able to get a date night out to dinner and to his brother's play at TU (Univ. of Tulsa). Last weekend, we also had brunch with them after church on Sunday. On Saturday last weekend, we also went down to the Cherry Street Farmer's market...had breakfast and got a few things we used to make dinner last weekend. The weather was perfect and a nice way to spend the morning. We've been more low-key this weekend. Getting in our longer runs and actually took a nap yesterday afternoon - when does that ever happen? We will have some posts coming up about our summer plans! It's starting to look like it's going to be a fun one with some travel, of course!

Easter Weekend

Last weekend, we had a great time celebrating Easter as a little family of 3. Of course, Cole was here for Easter last year, but he was still very little! Here's last year compared to this year! Is it even the same baby?!?
We went to church on Sunday morning, Cole did a great job in the nursery and we enjoyed the service. We came home, let Cole play for a few minutes, then put him down for a nap. While he slept, Tony made our brunch - egg casserole, croissants, and bacon. Yum! We were starving, so we didn't wait for Cole to eat. :) After Cole woke up and ate his lunch, we let him open his Easter basket. He got a swim suit, swim top, and flip flops for the summer and a cool set of keys to play with. Then we went outside to let him do a little Easter egg "hunt". He did a better job picking them up and going from one to the next than I thought he would. I think he picked up about 8 eggs and put them in his basket. He loved taking them apart and trying to put them back together. That trick kept him happy most of the afternoon actually. We took a ton of pictures, so here are some of my favorites. (You can also see our new fireplace and patio in our backyard.)

Marathon #3

It's done. We are registered for our third marathon, second for the year! We are going to do the Chicago Marathon in October.
My Mom convinced us to go for it. She and Stacy went to Africa with the charity Golf Fore Africa, and they have a team running the marathon this year. Hopefully my Mom will make it through training injury free and she can finally check off running a marathon. Stacy is going to be at a tournament, so she got out of running.
We will be trying to raise some money for Golf Fore Africa in the near future...so get ready to open that wallet! :) We are not sure how training will work this time around since we'll have to start in the hottest summer months. We will get the miles in somehow though. Tony already said he's going to run this one with me. That will make it different and fun AND we'll be running in a huge crowd and great scenery!
