Thanks!

It’s nice to know that at least a few people still read our blog. So thank you for the comments. For whatever reason, we just hit a major blog slump in the past month. Most of it is probably my fault because I don’t think I’ve really put anything on the blog in a very long time. And not that it’s going to improve drastically once we have a newborn baby in the house, but hopefully we can at least get some consistency.

Beth and I were talking the other night about the last 9 months and how many different things have gone on. It’s hard to believe that the day we found out we were pregnant, it was the very end of July and about 100 degrees outside (and miserable). Since then we’ve gone through the Fall, Christmas, a blizzard, and now we’re a few days from Spring break. And our little guy still isn’t here! Hopefully soon!

We went to a birthing class at the hospital a few weeks ago. It was a seven hour class on a Saturday (Beth’s birthday actually) and although neither one of us were really too excited about giving up a Saturday, we knew it’d be useful. It turned out to be very informative and I think we both felt better about things coming out of it. There were 9 other couples in the class and it was interesting to see the dynamics of them. Some of the husbands were very involved (probably too involved to the point of being creepy) and some of the guys didn’t do much of anything. I like to think I was somewhere in the middle. You’d have to ask Beth. We watched a bunch of videos (live births and all) and learned more about c-sections (not fun). Luckily we had already gotten a tour of the hospital before the class because the lady giving the class had hurt her knee in the snow storm and was unable to walk us through the tour (I thought it was a lame excuse since we were in a hospital full of wheelchairs, but whatever).

We also got the renovation bug a few weeks ago. Ok so we didn’t do anything too crazy but we did replace the mirror in our spare bathroom. I got the idea to get rid of the boring plain glass mirror and put in a framed mirror instead. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?

I love the mirror change! We are about to renovate our master bath shower and counter top. Fun, fun!! Can't wait for Baby Wysocki to arrive!
