A Gift from Australia

We received a piece of paper in the mail a few weeks ago that we soon realized was a ticket from our driving adventures in Australia this summer. We were driving back to Sydney from the Blue Mountains and had to take this cross-city tunnel that goes under the city. There was no place to pay unless you had an electronic pass. We didn't know this, so we were kind of out of luck at that point. I mean, we were in a tunnel! Couldn't exactly turn around or anything. So needless to say, we were not that surprised to get this ticket. The normal cost would have been $5, but we ended up having to pay $14. But with the exchange rate, it was only around $12. We had to laugh though that it caught up with us. We paid the ticket online, so we will be able to go back to Australia at some point and not have to worry about getting arrested for an outstanding ticket. (I don't know if they do that or not, just being dramatic!)
