Boring

Our life has been pretty boring lately. I've just been working like normal and Beth has been getting ready to go back to school. It's been over 100 degrees in Tulsa every day in August except for 2. In fact on Friday night at 10:15 p.m. the heat index was 103. It makes it miserable just to go outside. We've given up our routine of running after work and instead been doing the dreaded morning runs. I hate running in the morning but I hate running in 100 degree weather even more. Five o' clock in the morning is about the only bearable time of the day to run unfortunately.

We have a few things coming up in the next couple of months to look forward to. Beth and I are going to Dallas for a night over Labor Day weekend. We're going to go car shopping on Saturday and then head to Canton for First Monday Trade Days on Sunday. We went last year and enjoyed it so we figured we'd go check it out again. We are in the early stages of car shopping. We are trying to be proactive as we know that our car with 145,000 miles on it is getting towards the end of its life.

My parents and Beth's parents will be here at the beginning of September. We are heading to Rogers, Arkansas on September 9th for the annual LPGA tournament. This will be our third year to go and we always have a great time there. Beth has Jenks Wild (a 6th grade overnight trip) the following week so she'll be gone for a few days at that.

We also plan to go to at least one OU football game in September and possibly an Arkansas game. In October is when we'll start running some races. We have the Woolaroc 8k Run and the Tulsa Run which is a 15k. And over Beth's Fall Break, we're heading to San Diego to visit Janet (Beth's sister) for a few days.

I tell Beth almost everyday that I can't wait for Fall. Between great weather, college and pro football and the holidays, what's not to love about it?

I couldn't agree with you more about Fall. My favorite season. Even though us teachers have to go back to work, the Fall weather offsets that!
