Visit to Houston

This weekend, I took a trip down to Houston for the weekend. The main purpose was to go on our annual visit to the Nutcracker Market...the huge Christmas/food/jewelry/house decor/clothes, etc. market at Relient Center with my mom and Janet. I left on Friday after work and made it to Houston around 8 pm. My mom picked me up at the airport and we went to eat a later dinner at Black Walnut...one of our favorites in The Woodlands. Then on Saturday, we were ready to head downtown. My friend, Tori, and her mom (who is one of the Flamingos & my mom's friend) decided they wanted to go too, so we all me up at the Livingston house for a pre-shopping breakfast of yummy breakfast burritos. We drove downtown and spent the next 5 hours or so shopping! We managed to find so cute stuff. A few holiday decorations, house stuff, and of course jewelry & scarves. We didn't think this was one of the biggest shopping years, but we always have a good time. It's kind of the start of the holiday season for us!

Stacy is playing in the final LPGA tournament of the season next week and it's in Houston. So, she flew in on Saturday afternoon and was able to have dinner with us. We went to Rico's...had to get my Mexican food in! I was also able to see my friend, Sarah, who just had her second baby in October. His name is Rhett and he is a cutie and so tiny! After dinner, Janet came with me to meet up with one of my other best friends, Alyssa, at this wine bar in The Woodlands. We spent a few hours catching up and chatting. It was great to see both of those girls! I miss them tons! It was up kind of early today to have a girls breakfast at Black Walnut! Kind of embarrassing that I went there twice in like 2 days, but it was for breakfast and it's SO GOOD! Anyways, we all kind of went our separate ways soon after that. Janet went back to downtown to go to her place and to church. Stacy had to go practice and do other stuff for the tournament coming up, and I had my flight to catch back to Tulsa. I made it back a little over an hour ago to cool, rainy weather. It's supposed to start getting colder this week! Time to break out the jackets.

I had a busy weekend, but tons of fun visiting my family & friends. Can't wait to go back at Christmas with Tony for a longer time.
