Brussels Pics...Finally!

We never made it to putting pictures from Belgium on here. Basically in Brussels all we did was eat! We did go running in a nice park twice while we were there though. We stayed in a bed & breakfast which was a nice alternative to a hotel. The room had a nice sitting room area, big bedroom, and bathroom. It was a short 5-10 minute walk to the Grand Place where a lot of the restaurants were. We ate lots of waffles with chocolate & whip cream, chocolate, and fries (which were first from Belgium, not France-if you didn't know). There are chocolate stores every 5 steps it seems, and I think we went to almost all of them. Here are some pictures from Brussels. The little statue is the Manneken Pis...it's like one of the main things people come to see in Brussels if you can believe that! They also have costumes for this thing, and we went to the museum that keeps his outfits. I was pretty disappointed that he didn't have an outfit on when we were there though.

While in Brussels, we took a short train ride to Leuven where the Stella brewery is. We took a ridiculous round about way to get there once we got off the train when we could have just walked the other way down this main road and been right there. We got the scenic tour I guess. The tour was about an hour and we were taught how they make Stella and the other 14 or so beers that they brew there. It was pretty cool. Plus we got a free drink at the end. This was something that Tony really wanted to do, but I ended up enjoying as well. Here are some photos from the brewery tour.

I wanted to post come pictures of the cute kids too! We had fun being Uncle Tony and Aunt B for a little while. We read books, played Candy Land, and watched Gab & Louise play together. They are full on energy like most 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 year olds! We also met the newest addition to the family...baby Alice. She's such a cutie, and I think I held her pretty much every second I got. Next time we see here she's not going to be a baby anymore, so we feel so lucky to be able to see her now.
