Moving Out Soon

As Tony is glued to the TV right now watching the OU game, I have spent the past hour or so grading quizzes and homeworks. This has become the usual Saturday routine. I like football, but I have a hard time watching 12 hours of football every weekend. Lately, Tony and I have been talking and thinking a lot about how we are moving out of our apartment in less than a month now. We are moving on November 18th. We can't believe a year has gone by so quickly, but at the same time we can't wait to move out of the apartment.

Those of you who have seen our apartment can understand what I'm talking about. Since we have a loft style apartment, we really have no separate rooms and we are either in the "living space" (downstairs) or the upstairs loft part. We are so tired of not having any other places to go in our apartment. Plus you can never get away from the sound of the TV when it's on since we have no dividing walls unless you want to go into the bathroom or closet. It can be pretty annoying when we want to watch different things or one of us doesn't feel like watching TV and would like to do something else. We just feel so confined here. This is one of the reasons we are excited to move and to get into our own house soon. More space will be fantastic!

Since I am the obnoxious organizer, we're going to start packing some stuff up pretty soon and taking it up to The Woodlands to Tony or my parents' house. I brought home some boxes from school this week and it's actually starting to seem real that we are moving soon. Tony wants to get a few boxes together to make a trip next week. I'm not a big fan of moving since I have basically moved every year for the past 6 years, but this time it's different. This time once we move out, we only have a short time of staying at Tony's parents' house until our house will be done. After that we won't have to move for awhile and we can finally feel settled in our own home. Moving out of the apartment is the first step and we're almost there! Just a few more weeks!
