Last week/weekend was filled with searching. Tony and I started looking at some options for our living situation for next year because we found out that our apartment rent is going up $300 a month. Our lease runs up in November and since we're going to be getting married 8 months later, we wanted to see if we could find a house. We could always find an apartment that is less expensive, but it seems like we could pay just as much for a house every month and have a lot more space and not have to worry about moving the next year as rent goes up again. We spent a lot of time last week looking up houses for sale and found 2 we were interested in looking at. Well, we soon realized that either the house had a lot of work to do or it was in a terrible neighborhood.

We then came across a neighborhood in a great location for us with all new houses. We found out that there is actually a new house that we could afford! We ended up spending an hour looking at different floor plans and options that they offer. We even drove out to Cy-Fair yesterday to look at another floor plan. We are still thinking about this important decision, but we think it would be great to be able to build our house and choose the cabinets, carpet, tile, etc. So we'll see where this goes, but it is definitely looking like our best option at this point.

The other big thing that I've been looking for this week/weekend is my wedding dress. I can't really talk about what I'm looking for or what I've found because Tony reads this too. Email me if you'd like to know what I've found so far. My mom and I went looking on Thursday and I found 3 dresses that I liked, but wasn't sure about. Then on Saturday, my mom, Stacy, Janet, and I went shopping and I found 2 dresses that I absolutely loved. But, now it is only down to 1 dress because I found out that the other dress was the same exact one that Kristina picked. I've also looked online and found 2 other dresses I think I'd like to try on before making my final decision.

My sisters also found a bridesmaid dress, which is a miracle in itself. The two of them could not have more different taste sometimes. After trying on probably 20 - 30 different dresses, we found one! Now I just have to decide on the color!

I want to see what your dress looks like!

How exciting about your house decision! Sometimes, it's cheaper or the same price to buy than to rent and for the future, it's definitely a better option.
