Little New to This

This week so far has been a whirl-wind experience in teaching. I only had to "work" 3 days this week and work included attending training sessions for a new textbook and style of teaching for all the middle school teachers. Having no experience with teaching and having not met any of my co-workers yet, it was a pretty good 3 days. I got to meet all the other math teachers and get a feel for what I'll be doing in a couple of weeks. Also, today I have to go sign up for my insurance benefits. Then I'm done until Aug. 16th when I have to go back for new teacher orientation.

It's been a long summer knowing that I'd be starting a new job in August and now it's finally here.

In wedding news, Tony & I have decided on a date and location for the ceremony & reception. That has been a big load off of our shoulders and now we can just take things as they come. We're also looking into photographers for our engagement and wedding photos since we probably need to do the engagement photos in a month or two. Still don't know our colors...haha! That seems to be a common question and we're open to suggestions!

When I first started teaching 7 years ago, I didn't know what in the world I was doing. The worst is when you make a mistake and then have to tell your students or when your students tell you!

You will do great! I think this is one area where confidence is the key.

Glad you booked the reception place- we have marked our calendars!
