Count Your Blessings

I woke up this morning with sadness in my heart. I miss my Grandma. She was a special lady in so many ways. Losing someone is never easy, but I have come to realize in the last 24 hours that I have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to my Grandma and the relationship we had. So what I am trying to do instead of feeling sorry for myself is count my blessings. I thought I would share some of the things I'm thankful for:
--I grew up 6 blocks from my Grandparents' house.
--Growing up I would see my Grandparents almost everyday.
--My Grandma used to come and pick Andie and I up at our babysitter's house when my Mom couldn't.
--I learned a lot about cooking from watching my Grandma in the kitchen.
--My Grandma made me feel special.
--I got to live with my Grandma for an entire year(my Senior year of high school).
--Even after I went to college, I still saw my Grandma at least twice a month.
--If I ever felt like no one cared, I always knew my Grandma would.
--My Grandma took care of me.
--My Grandma would come to nearly all of my soccer games and even if she didn't have a clue what was going on, she would always tell me how great I did.
--My Grandma took care of me when I had my appendix taken out.
--My Grandma loved me and knew how much I loved her.

Instead of being sad, I need to be thankful. I had 27 amazing years with my Grandma and I will have that forever.
